You’ll find enquiries you can quote on in the Enquiries section of your dashboard.
Enquiries are separated into 3 different categories:
- New – these enquiries have been added recently and any quote you submit is eligible to be shortlisted by the client.
- Invited to Quote – these are enquiries where the client has specifically requested a quote from you. That's a warm lead, so if you submit a quote you'll automatically be shortlisted and get the client's details.
- Reduced Fee – these are enquiries with a reduced shortlist fee. That means that if the client shortlists your quote, you'll only pay the reduced fee.
The front of the client card will show the shortlist fee for that enquiry. For more on shortlist fees and how they work, see our shortlist fees section.
To take a look at the details of the enquiry, click the View button on the enquiry you’re interested in to open up the details page. Here you’ll see the details of the enquiry and you can ask questions or submit a quote.
If the details the client has given aren’t enough to give a quote, you can ask the client a question directly by typing your question on the box at the bottom of the page and clicking Send.
Clients can’t upload documents and are unlikely to answer complicated or long-winded questions, so keep your question relevant and concise. It's also worth bearing in mind your quote isn’t set in stone (it’s a best estimate based on the details available) so you don’t need to narrow everything down before you give your quote.
Clients don’t always answer questions so, unless you can’t provide a quote without an answer, it may be worth quoting and then amending your quote later on once an answer’s been given.
Please note: the question and answer facility is to help you and your fellow lawyers ask any simple questions you need an answer to in order to quote. It is a violation of our Terms to use this facility to pass the client your name and/or contact details and/or to encourage them to contact you directly rather than via our platform. Doing so may result in withdrawal of your quote and/or suspension/deletion from our platform.
