We've found that clients overwhelmingly prefer individuals to business accounts, so your MyLegalAdviser accounts should be set up in the name of an individual.
If you are an individual, you can simply set the account up in your own name and with your own email address.
You can also take any bio you have from your own website and tweak it to feature on our site. Clients will see this, so make sure you tailor it to the services you offer and how you can add value for the client.
If you have multiple people at your office covering a range of practice areas, we generally recommend setting up one account in the name of a partner or Head of New Business.
We find this is a much simpler way for firms to get used to our service than setting up multiple accounts for each practice area they offer.
When doing this, you should select all the specialisms your firm offers and tweak the bio to ensure you sell your firm and team's experience across those areas.
Multiple users can manage the account(s) if needed by sharing the login details and adding team members so they receive notifications.
Once you're used to our service, or if you simply can't put the account in the name of only one person, you can set up multiple accounts.
Each account will have their own login and billing. Credit cannot be transferred across accounts and each account will require their own payment method.
As you get used to our service, we recommend you set up separate profiles for specialisms you're targeting to ensure the accounts pitching for business are as relevant as possible to client jobs (really helping you to win new business).
